From a successful professional auctioneer to a public servant. Our very own resident auctioneer Colton Moore was recently elected as State Representative of Georgia District 1. At 24 years old, Moore is the youngest official ever elected in District 1’s history. Ran on one of the most cost-effective campaigns across the entire country, Moore upsets the longtime incumbent Representative John Deffenbaugh.
Rep-Elect Colton Moore is a graduate of University of Georgia, earning a degree in International Affairs & Political Science. He is a man of many hats and an accomplished auctioneer in such a young age. His experience in international trade through successful auctioneering in multiple countries and being part of UAI family, will prove to be useful in tackling hometown issues such as logistics within the transportation sector. Through his young energy and his passion for problem solving and success, Colton vows to put integrity back to his hometown’s politics and serve the best interest of his community.
He will be sworn in on January 14, 2019 where he plans on proposing four or five bills on day one of the first legislative session.
